Before I was born, my story first started with my parents. My father, Tomas C. Baliuag, and my mother, Rosemarie S. Baliuag, met when they were still in college. They were still young back then, and they were still trying to build their dreams. Life was not always easy for them, but they continued to face it together.
Before my father became a policeman, he was once a tricycle driver. Because life was hard, he worked and pushed himself to pursue a better career. Later on, he became a policeman. My mother became a housewife who takes care of our family. My parents are sweet and caring, and I can say that they really do their best for us.
I was born in Peñablanca, Cagayan, and I was named Mark James S. Baliuag. I grew up in a family that is not perfect, but full of love, care, and support. I have siblings who are also part of my life. My brother Franz Martin S. Baliuag already graduated in Criminology. I am currently taking BSIT major in Web and Mobile Application Development. My younger brother, Tom Ezikiel S. Baliuag, is an incoming first-year student, while my sister, Angelina Rose S. Baliuag, is an incoming Grade 11 student.
When I was still a child, I was very playful. I liked playing, moving around, and enjoying simple things. I was also noisy, especially when I was already comfortable with the people around me. Until now, I am still like that. I can be quiet at first, especially with people I do not know well, but when I become comfortable, I become talkative and energetic.
During my elementary days, I remember myself as a noisy student. One unforgettable memory from those years was that I was always late. At that time, I did not take time seriously because I was still careless young and playful. But as I grew older, I realized that being late can become a bad habit if I do not learn how to fix it. That memory taught me that discipline starts from small things, like learning how to value time.
As I grew older, I became more curious about many things. Whenever I saw something I did not understand, I would always think about it. I did not like staying confused. I wanted to know how things worked, even if I had to figure it out by myself. Sometimes, I would keep trying until I finally understood it. This curiosity became a big part of who I am.
I also liked playing games a lot. At first, I only played games because they were fun. But later, I started asking questions in my mind. I wondered how games were made, how apps worked, how websites were created, and how computers could do many things. Because of that, my interest in technology slowly grew.
When I became a teenager, I started to understand myself more. I realized that I was not only interested in playing games, but also in knowing how technology works. My curiosity helped me discover the tech world. That was also the time when I started to see that technology is not just about using phones or computers. It is also about creating something useful.
High school became one of the important parts of my life. It was a time when I experienced more schoolwork, more responsibilities, and more challenges. There were fun moments with my classmates, but there were also stressful days because of lessons, activities, and deadlines. High school taught me that I needed patience and effort if I wanted to improve.
Now that I am in college, I am taking BSIT major in Web and Mobile Application Development. College is harder than my past school years. There are times when programming, projects, and deadlines make me feel pressured. Sometimes I still get confused, but I try to learn step by step. I know that I still have many things to improve, but I also know that learning takes time.
My curiosity is still one of the reasons why I continue. It is the same curiosity I had when I was younger, but now I am using it to learn more about technology. I know that curiosity alone is not enough. I also need discipline, patience, and hard work.
Looking back, I can say that every part of my life helped shape me. My childhood gave me happy memories. My elementary years taught me simple lessons. My teenage years helped me discover my interests. My high school life taught me patience. And now, my college life is teaching me responsibility and growth.
My story is still not finished. I am still learning and still trying to become better. I am thankful for my parents, my siblings, and all the experiences that made me who I am today. I may not be perfect, but I believe that as long as I keep learning and moving forward, I can build a better future for myself.
